Omega 3 fatty acids from fish oil with a high EPA and DHA content

168,00 lei
HIGHLIGHTS
  • For orders via pharmacies, please use the following pharmaceutical registration number (PZN): 17255827
  • The effectiveness of Omega 3 fatty acids depends on the proportion of EPA and DHA – both components are particularly high in the QIDOSHA product with 500 mg EPA and 250 mg DHA per capsule.
  • We use triglycerides (TG), the natural form in which Omega 3 is found in fish oil: higher bioavailability of EPA and DHA as well as better protection against oxidation than with ethyl esters (EE)/see also https://www.aerztezeitung.de/Medizin/Omega-Fettsaeuren-in-Triglycerid-Form-haben-Vorteile-283917.html
  • According to the 12th Nutrition Report of the German Nutrition Society (DGE), the recommended amounts of fish are significantly undershot.
  • Low Totox value (exact values per batch available on request), each batch tested for heavy metal contamination
  • Iodine-free (important for users with hyperthyroidism, Graves' disease, etc.)

WHAT EXACTLY ARE OMEGA 3 FAT ACIDS?

Omega-3 fatty acids belong to the group of unsaturated fatty acids. If all carbon atoms in a fatty acid are saturated with hydrogen atoms, it is called a "saturated" fatty acid. These are mostly of animal origin and can raise our cholesterol levels and cause changes in our blood vessels, which is why they should only be consumed in moderation. If, on the other hand, at least two adjacent carbon atoms are connected by double bonds, it is called an "unsaturated" fatty acid. If there are several of these double bonds, it is called a "polyunsaturated fatty acid."

"Omega," the last letter of the Greek alphabet, refers to the last carbon atom within the fatty acid chain at the methyl end. The first double bond at this end is located at the third carbon atom, which explains the number "3" in the name. The most important omega-3 fatty acids include:

  • the triple unsaturated alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which is found in linseed, rapeseed and walnut oil
  • the 5-polyunsaturated eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), which comes from the fat of cold-water fish such as salmon.
  • the 6-polyunsaturated docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which is found in fish oils and some algae
WHAT EFFECT DO THE OMEGA 3 FAT ACIDS DHA AND EPA?
  • DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function, provided that at least 250 mg is ingested daily.
  • DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision, provided that at least 250 mg is ingested daily.
  • EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function, provided that 250 mg of EPA and DHA are ingested daily.
  • Replacing saturated fatty acids with monounsaturated and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet contributes to maintaining normal blood cholesterol levels.
  • The intake of DHA (100 mg daily) contributes to the normal development of vision in infants up to the age of 12 months.
  • The mother's intake of DHA (200 mg daily in addition to breast milk) contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes in the fetus and breastfed infant.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids help to maintain normal cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood and normal blood pressure (2 or 3 g daily are required for this).
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are DHA and EPA relevant for?

  • To simplify things a bit, one can remember that DHA for "D“enken” (brain function and eyesight) and EPA for "EThe anti-inflammatory effect is relevant. A detailed list of permitted health claims can be found in the product description.

What is the difference between triglycerides (TG) and ethyl esters (EE), and which is better?

  • In nature, EPA and DHA occur as triglycerides (TG) in fish oil. In this form, three fatty acid molecules are bound to a glycerol molecule. Ethyl esters (EE), on the other hand, are produced exclusively synthetically and consist of only a single fatty acid bound to an ethanol molecule. In this process, the glycerol molecule is removed from the triglyceride, and the three free fatty acids (DHA or EPA) are then esterified with ethanol. However, the bioavailability of EE is lower than that of TG. This is also intuitively understandable, as our bodies are evolutionarily adapted to the absorption of fatty acids from natural sources (v.a. fish) is adapted.

Why is your Omega 3 more expensive than some competitors'?

  • The proportion of EHA (500 mg per capsule) and DHA (250 mg per capsule) is higher than in almost all competitors.

Why do you use fish oil and not vegan algae oil?

  • Algae oil contains i.d.R. It contains only a sufficient amount of DHA, but not of EPA. EPA, however, is v.a. This is crucial in the case of (chronic) inflammation, so unfortunately algae oil does not achieve the desired effect in this regard.

Does your fish oil come from sustainable fishing?

  • Yes, our fish oil is FOS (Friends of the Sea) certified.

What drives us

QIDOSHA was born out of the desire to unite traditional healing knowledge with modern demands. Inspired by personal experiences, we combine Ayurveda, TCM, and Western herbal medicine into a holistic approach – transparent, high-quality, and sustainably conceived.

What shaped us

The story behind Qidosha

My husband became seriously ill in 2014. Conventional doctors were baffled by the cause, as none of the known risk factors applied. This experience led us to delve deeply into the millennia-old wisdom of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) – not as a counterpoint to conventional medicine, but as a valuable complement. It became increasingly clear that the problem today is rarely a lack of information, but rather a lack of understanding of what actually happens in the body. Too many approaches, too many opinions – but often too little guidance and too little trust in the body's ability to regain its balance. We have deepened this knowledge over many years together with practitioners. This led to the creation of QIDOSHA: the fusion of traditional healing wisdom, modern science, and the understanding of how to specifically support the body in finding its regulation and balance again – instead of merely compensating for symptoms in the short term. With QIDOSHA, we therefore don't simply want to sell supplements, but rather spark curiosity about the fascinating connections between the body, balance, and millennia-old wisdom.

What we are uncompromising about

Premium quality

Many products today are becoming increasingly complex: long ingredient lists, unnecessary additives, and claims that often sound more like marketing than genuine understanding. QIDOSHA consciously pursues a different approach. Instead of adding as much as possible, we focus on specifically supporting what truly benefits the body. That's why we rely on traceable ingredients, sensible combinations, and a conscious reduction to what is truly necessary. Our products are manufactured without unnecessary fillers and additives and are consistently developed according to the "true clean label" principle: they contain only what we explicitly state. All products are manufactured in Germany, and each batch undergoes external laboratory testing – including for residues such as ethylene oxide (EtO). Because trust isn't built on loud promises, but on transparency, quality, and comprehensible decisions.

How we think more sustainably

Glass instead of plastic

QIDOSHA was born from the desire to support the body more consciously – and this idea doesn't stop at the contents of our products. If we place great value on traceable ingredients, purity, and conscious choices, this commitment should also be reflected in the packaging and selection of our raw materials.
That's why we consistently use recyclable glass packaging instead of traditional plastic containers. Glass protects sensitive ingredients better, requires fewer additives, and aligns with our commitment to producing products that are as minimal as possible while maintaining high quality. Furthermore, QIDOSHA is certified organic, and we prioritize organic quality where, in our view, it makes a genuine difference in the purity, origin, and quality of the raw materials.
