Copper is an essential trace element. The body only requires very small amounts of it – however, at the molecular level, copper is indispensable: It serves as a cofactor for various enzymes, so-called cuproenzymes, and is therefore involved in a wide variety of biological processes. These include energy metabolism, the formation and maintenance of connective tissue, iron transport, and the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

A good example of this is the Copper-zinc superoxide dismutase (Cu/Zn-SOD). This enzyme is part of the body's own antioxidant defense system and requires copper to function. Other copper-dependent enzymes, in turn, are involved in the formation of connective tissue structures or in iron metabolism. Thus, a single trace element becomes a component of very different enzymatic systems.

In dietary supplements, copper is often used as an isolated compound such as copper gluconate, copper sulfate, or copper bisglycinate. Our approach is different: The copper comes exclusively from Moringa (Moringa oleifera) and black mustard (Brassica nigra) From controlled organic cultivation. No isolated copper compound is added as a copper source.

For this, we combine a concentrated 30:1 Moringa leaf extract with a 35:1 extract of black mustard seed. Two capsules together provide 1,000 µg copper and thus 100% of the legal reference value for daily intake.

Why moringa and black mustard?

Black mustard (Brassica nigra)

Black mustard seeds also naturally contain various minerals. Furthermore, a complex seed matrix with sulfur-containing plant compounds is characteristic of plants in the Brassicaceae family. The story behind Qidosha

My husband became seriously ill in 2014. Conventional doctors were baffled by the cause, as none of the known risk factors applied. This experience led us to delve deeply into the millennia-old wisdom of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) – not as a counterpoint to conventional medicine, but as a valuable complement. It became increasingly clear that the problem today is rarely a lack of information, but rather a lack of understanding of what actually happens in the body. Too many approaches, too many opinions – but often too little guidance and too little trust in the body's ability to regain its balance. We have deepened this knowledge over many years together with practitioners. This led to the creation of QIDOSHA: the fusion of traditional healing wisdom, modern science, and the understanding of how to specifically support the body in finding its regulation and balance again – instead of merely compensating for symptoms in the short term. With QIDOSHA, we therefore don't simply want to sell supplements, but rather spark curiosity about the fascinating connections between the body, balance, and millennia-old wisdom.
