Manganese is an essential trace element. The body only needs small amounts of it, but biochemically it plays a remarkable role: Manganese acts as a cofactor for various enzymes and is therefore involved in fundamental metabolic processes. These include energy metabolism, the formation of connective tissue, and the maintenance of normal bones.

One particularly interesting example is the Manganese superoxide dismutase (MnSOD). This manganese-dependent enzyme is located in the mitochondria – precisely where a significant part of cellular energy production takes place. It belongs to the body's own antioxidant enzyme system and illustrates why manganese contributes to protecting cells from oxidative stress.

In dietary supplements, manganese is often used as an isolated mineral compound such as manganese gluconate or manganese sulfate. Our approach is different: the entire 5 mg of manganese per capsule comes from Moringa (Moringa oleifera), Black mustard (Brassica nigra) and spirulina (Arthrospira maxima) From controlled organic farming. No isolated manganese compound is added.

To achieve this quantity solely through plant-based raw materials, we do not use simple plant powders, but concentrated extracts: a 60:1 Moringa leaf extract, a 80:1 extract of black mustard seed and one 25:1 Spirulina extract. The manganese thus remains a component of a complex plant-based raw material, instead of being added as an isolated mineral salt.

The formula is deliberately kept simple: three concentrated organic plant-based ingredients and a vegan capsule shell. We completely avoid fillers, magnesium stearate, and conventional flow agents. The capsules are manufactured in Germany and packaged in light-protective amber glass.

The story behind Qidosha

My husband became seriously ill in 2014. Conventional doctors were baffled by the cause, as none of the known risk factors applied. This experience led us to delve deeply into the millennia-old wisdom of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) – not as a counterpoint to conventional medicine, but as a valuable complement. It became increasingly clear that the problem today is rarely a lack of information, but rather a lack of understanding of what actually happens in the body. Too many approaches, too many opinions – but often too little guidance and too little trust in the body's ability to regain its balance. We have deepened this knowledge over many years together with practitioners. This led to the creation of QIDOSHA: the fusion of traditional healing wisdom, modern science, and the understanding of how to specifically support the body in finding its regulation and balance again – instead of merely compensating for symptoms in the short term. With QIDOSHA, we therefore don't simply want to sell supplements, but rather spark curiosity about the fascinating connections between the body, balance, and millennia-old wisdom.
