Vitamin B6 is not a single molecule, but rather refers to a group of structurally related compounds, including pyridoxine, pyridoxal, and pyridoxamine, as well as their phosphorylated forms. In human metabolism, vitamin B6, as a component of various coenzymes, performs numerous functions – including in amino acid, energy, and homocysteine ​​metabolism.

While vitamin B6 is often used in dietary supplements as isolated pyridoxine hydrochloride, the vitamin B6 in our product comes exclusively from organic plant sources. For this, we combine extracts from guava (Psidium guajava), Mango (Mangifera indica) and Tulsi or Holy Basil (Ocimum sanctum).

The three plants provide vitamin B6 within their natural plant matrix. Unlike an isolated synthetic vitamin, the raw material therefore does not consist solely of a single B6 compound, but rather of plant extracts with their natural spectrum of accompanying substances. The fruits and leaves used come from controlled organic cultivation.

Each capsule provides 12 mg Vitamin B6 This represents 857% of the legal reference value for an adult's daily intake. Why guava, mango, and tulsi?

The combination of guava, mango, and tulsi makes it possible to provide vitamin B6 entirely from plant-based raw materials. Different plant parts and specially concentrated extracts are combined in this process.

Guava (Psidium guajava)

The tropical guava is known for its diverse natural micronutrient and phytochemical profile. For our recipe, we use a concentrated 60:1 fruit extract from certified organic farming.

Mango (Mangifera indica)

Mango also naturally contains vitamin B6. We use a highly concentrated 80:1 fruit extract from organic mangoes, which, together with guava and tulsi, contributes to the plant-based vitamin B6 source in our capsules.

Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum)

Tulsi, also known as holy basil, has a long tradition in Ayurveda. For our vitamin B6 capsules, we use a 50:1 extract from the leaves of the organically grown plant.

The result is a completely plant-based source of vitamin B6 from three organic plants – without added synthetic pyridoxine hydrochloride.

The story behind Qidosha

My husband became seriously ill in 2014. Conventional doctors were baffled by the cause, as none of the known risk factors applied. This experience led us to delve deeply into the millennia-old wisdom of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) – not as a counterpoint to conventional medicine, but as a valuable complement. It became increasingly clear that the problem today is rarely a lack of information, but rather a lack of understanding of what actually happens in the body. Too many approaches, too many opinions – but often too little guidance and too little trust in the body's ability to regain its balance. We have deepened this knowledge over many years together with practitioners. This led to the creation of QIDOSHA: the fusion of traditional healing wisdom, modern science, and the understanding of how to specifically support the body in finding its regulation and balance again – instead of merely compensating for symptoms in the short term. With QIDOSHA, we therefore don't simply want to sell supplements, but rather spark curiosity about the fascinating connections between the body, balance, and millennia-old wisdom.
