Vitamin E is not a single molecule, but rather refers to a family of fat-soluble compounds consisting of tocopherols and tocotrienols. Synthetically produced all-rac-α-tocopherol, on the other hand, consists of a mixture of eight stereoisomers – molecules with the same chemical composition but different spatial arrangements. Only one of these corresponds to naturally occurring RRR-α-tocopherol.

This seemingly minor structural peculiarity is biologically relevant: The human body does not treat the different stereoisomers identically. In particular, the α-tocopherol transfer protein in the liver has a pronounced preference for natural RRR-α-tocopherol, thus influencing which α-tocopherol preferentially enters the bloodstream and is retained in the body.

Our vitamin E comes exclusively from Cassava root (Manihot esculenta) and sunflower seeds (Helianthus annuus) From controlled organic cultivation. Sunflower seeds are naturally among the plant foods particularly rich in vitamin E. Through the combination of concentrated plant extracts, we produce 134 mg vitamin E or 200 I.E. per capsule ready – without synthetic all-rac-α-tocopherol as a source of vitamin E.

The formula is deliberately simple: organic plant extracts from cassava and sunflower seeds, and a vegan capsule shell. We completely avoid fillers, magnesium stearate, and conventional flow agents. The capsules are manufactured in Germany and packaged in light-protective amber glass.

Sunflower seeds are among the classic natural sources of vitamin E. The vitamin is found primarily in the fat-rich seed matrix, where it protects sensitive lipids from oxidation. This natural function within the seed makes the sunflower a particularly obvious plant-based source of vitamin E.

Cassava (Manihot esculenta)

Cassava is a tropical crop whose starchy root is used as food worldwide. Our recipe doesn't use ordinary cassava powder, but rather an organic root extract, which, together with sunflower seed extract, forms the plant-based foundation of the product.

Together, the two organic raw materials enable a vitamin E formulation whose 134 mg of vitamin E per daily serving come entirely from plant sources..
