NATURAL INGREDIENTS FOR THE LIVER²
  • ² Choline: contributes to the maintenance of normal liver function
  • R-Alpha-Lipoic Acid:
    • Body's own detoxification Phase I: Lipoic acid is involved in the disposal of radicals and reactive metabolites.
    • Body's own detoxification Phase II & III (Chelation): Lipoic acid complexes metals such as iron, copper, mercury and cadmium and is involved in their elimination.
  • L-Glutathione:
    • Body's own detoxification Phase II & III (Chelation)
      • Coenzyme for glutathione S-transferases
      • Binding partners of pollutants
        • binds via thiol/sulfhydryl/SH group Toxins, Multivalent heavy metals (such as mercury, cadmium, lead) u.a. Foreign substances
        • forms Pollutant-glutathione complexes, which as Mercapturic acid derivatives are excreted via the kidneys and bile.
        • reduces by Complex formation with "good" trace elements pro-oxidative risk of high concentrations of these substances (z.B. Fenton reaction of Fe with vitamin C)
      • Glutathione can be combined with other complexing agents (z.B. α-Lipoic acid)
    • Body's own detoxification Phase I:
      • Disposal of radical metabolites (Part of the redox network)
  • N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine: From the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) There are currently no approved health claims for cysteine. The following are the effects of cysteine on humans that are considered established based on relevant scientific literature. Cysteine:

    • is a building block for structural and functional proteins in the body
    • is a starting material for the formation of non-essential amino acids [2]
    • represents an important source of sulfur for humans [4]
    • is a component of the body's own antioxidant glutathione [3, 5]
    • provides a basic framework for the synthesis of glucose [1, 2]

    • Supplemented with valuable ingredients from herbal medicine, Ayurveda and TCM:
      • Milk thistle: The seeds of milk thistle (Silybum marianum) contain a flavonoid spectrum known as silymarin, which is composed of silibinin, silydianin and silychristin.
      • Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)
      • Guduchi: in Ayurveda it is called "Divine Nectar"; its bitter substances are also referred to as "Indian Quinine".
      • Reishi: High bioavailability is achieved through the "shell-broken" process, which breaks down the chitin cell wall of the mushroom, making the active ingredients available to the body. We use only the nutrient-rich fruiting body of the mushroom – not the nutrient-poor mycelium or any substrate. This is achieved through a dual extraction process using water. & Bioethanol contains both valuable fats (v.a. polyphenols and triterpenes) as well as the water-soluble (v.a. Beta-glucans) components extracted
      • Chlorella vulgaris: The freshwater algae Chlorella vulgaris is characterized above all by its exceptionally high chlorophyll content and the unique "Chlorella Growth Factor" (CGF) contained in the cell nucleus.
      • Cinnamon: Cinnamon contains large amounts of the essential oil cinnamaldehyde (85-90%).

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The capsules smell "unpleasant"/different than before. What's causing this?

The key innovation is the addition of the amino acid L-cysteine (instead of calcium in the old formula):
    • Cysteine contains sulfur, which is essential for insulin, digestive enzymes and v.a. needed for heavy metal detoxification becomes.
    • Cysteine is also antioxidant, breaks disulfide bonds in the glycoproteins of the mucus (= expectorant), detoxifies liver-damaging metabolites (v.a. Paracetamol) and carcinogenic Fabrics How z.B. Aflatoxins are eliminated by forming active chelates or sulfates.
Cysteine arises from methionine and becomes further metabolized into glutathione, whose Main functions as follows:
    • Detoxification function (phase 2 detoxification): Improved elimination of toxins
    • Antioxidant: reduces, for example,oxidized vitamins E and C
    • Important immune function: synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes; lymphocyte metabolism
    • Transport of amino acids across the cell membrane
    • DNA repair
Because cysteine contains sulfur (central for detoxification), it unfortunately always has a somewhat unpleasant smell. But the health benefit is significant compared to the previously used calcium.

    What drives us

QIDOSHA was born out of the desire to unite traditional healing knowledge with modern demands. Inspired by personal experiences, we combine Ayurveda, TCM, and Western herbal medicine into a holistic approach – transparent, high-quality, and sustainably conceived.

    What shaped us

    The story behind Qidosha

My husband became seriously ill in 2014. Conventional doctors were baffled by the cause, as none of the known risk factors applied. This experience led us to delve deeply into the millennia-old wisdom of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) – not as a counterpoint to conventional medicine, but as a valuable complement. It became increasingly clear that the problem today is rarely a lack of information, but rather a lack of understanding of what actually happens in the body. Too many approaches, too many opinions – but often too little guidance and too little trust in the body's ability to regain its balance. We have deepened this knowledge over many years together with practitioners. This led to the creation of QIDOSHA: the fusion of traditional healing wisdom, modern science, and the understanding of how to specifically support the body in finding its regulation and balance again – instead of merely compensating for symptoms in the short term. With QIDOSHA, we therefore don't simply want to sell supplements, but rather spark curiosity about the fascinating connections between the body, balance, and millennia-old wisdom.

    What we are uncompromising about

    Premium quality

Many products today are becoming increasingly complex: long ingredient lists, unnecessary additives, and claims that often sound more like marketing than genuine understanding. QIDOSHA consciously pursues a different approach. Instead of adding as much as possible, we focus on specifically supporting what truly benefits the body. That's why we rely on traceable ingredients, sensible combinations, and a conscious reduction to what is truly necessary. Our products are manufactured without unnecessary fillers and additives and are consistently developed according to the "true clean label" principle: they contain only what we explicitly state. All products are manufactured in Germany, and each batch undergoes external laboratory testing – including for residues such as ethylene oxide (EtO). Because trust isn't built on loud promises, but on transparency, quality, and comprehensible decisions.

    How we think more sustainably

    Glass instead of plastic

QIDOSHA was born from the desire to support the body more consciously – and this idea doesn't stop at the contents of our products. If we place great value on traceable ingredients, purity, and conscious choices, this commitment should also be reflected in the packaging and selection of our raw materials.
That's why we consistently use recyclable glass packaging instead of traditional plastic containers. Glass protects sensitive ingredients better, requires fewer additives, and aligns with our commitment to producing products that are as minimal as possible while maintaining high quality. Furthermore, QIDOSHA is certified organic, and we prioritize organic quality where, in our view, it makes a genuine difference in the purity, origin, and quality of the raw materials.
