QIDOSHA aims to combine the best of Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Western herbal medicine. This is reflected in our logo, which combines Yin and Yang, the lotus blossom, and a sprig of herbs. Our name also represents this union. z.T...teachings passed down through millennia: Qi is the life energy that flows through the meridians in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Dosha comes from Ayurveda – Doshas are the three basic constitutions, the bioenergies "Vata," "Pitta," and "Kapha" in Ayurveda. Each of these teachings already holds astonishing potential in its own right; what would be possible if one were to combine the best of these teachings depending on the specific problem?

We are convinced that this potential has not yet been fully exploited, as there is little permeability between the three different medical systems and naturopathic treatments – some conventional doctors even still have outright "thought prohibitions" regarding naturopathic methods. We at QIDOSHA want to contribute to changing this!

We don't primarily see ourselves as an online shop for dietary supplements, but rather as a way to spark your curiosity about the fascinating insights that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Ayurveda, and herbal medicine have to offer. To this end, we provide you with a wealth of background information, studies, and specific recommendations for certain conditions, all derived from these teachings. Our goal is for you to benefit as much as possible from these insights by successfully integrating them into your daily life. And whenever feasible, we encourage you to cook fresh meals with numerous recipes and background information on individual herbs and spices – because, as the ancient physician and philosopher Hippocrates said, "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." And whenever time is short, we aim to contribute to ensuring your body still receives everything it needs with our dietary supplements.

In the manufacturing process of our drops and capsules, we consciously chose to prioritize purity, sustainability, and transparency in our product packaging as well! Therefore, it was particularly important to us not to choose packaging made entirely of plastic.

THE IDEA

Our vision was a sustainable solution: the best for the body and at the same time the best for the environment! Plastic containers are made with many additives that have to be used in their production (v.aTitanium dioxide is unsuitable for recycling. For many products, a plastic container holds approximately a month's supply, and usually, not just one dietary supplement is taken, but several different preparations.

We absolutely did not want the image of the resulting mountains of plastic waste for our QIDOSHA products! Our goal is to do good not only for our bodies but also for the environment, and therefore we consistently rely on fully recyclable glass packaging and refill pouches made of kraft paper.Glass is more expensive to produce and also to ship due to its weight, but we still trust that you will support this approach!

Our refill bags also have a pleasant side effect: they fit easily into the mailbox, saving you a trip to the parcel shop if you are not at home when our products are delivered!

PHARMACY JAR – JUST RIGHT FOR OUR QIDOSHA PRODUCTS

When you buy a QIDOSHA product, you've likely made a conscious decision to choose one produced without unnecessary additives. Apothecary glass therefore offers several advantages:

• Recycling: Glass itself is very recyclable and can be reused many times… and again… and again…!
• Taste: Glass does not release any substances into the contents (topic: microplastics!) and is therefore 100% tasteless.
• UV protection: The amber glass jar provides ideal protection for the capsules inside against harmful UV radiation. Special, high-quality ingredients such as vitamin B12 and Q10 are particularly sensitive to light and require amber glass packaging.
