The best of 3 worlds
QIDOSHA has set itself the goal of combining the best of Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western herbal medicine. This is reflected in our logo, which combines yin and yang, the lotus flower and a branch of herbs. Our name also represents the connection between these teachings, some of which have been passed down for thousands of years: Qi is the life energy that flows through the meridians in TCM and Dosha comes from Ayurveda - Doshas are the three basic constitutions, the bioenergies "Vata", "Pitta" and "Kapha", in Ayurveda. Each of these teachings has amazing potential in itself; what would be possible if the best of these teachings were combined depending on the problem?
We are convinced that this potential has not yet been fully exploited, as there is little permeability between the three different medical systems and natural healing methods - some conventional medical practitioners even still have a downright "ban on thinking" about natural healing methods. We at QIDOSHA would like to make a contribution to changing this!
We help to make your everyday life a little better
We do not see ourselves primarily as a web shop for nutritional supplements, but rather we want to arouse your curiosity about the exciting findings that TCM, Ayurveda and herbal medicine have in store for us. To this end, we have a lot of background information, studies and concrete recommendations for certain illnesses that are based on these teachings. Our goal is for you to benefit as much as possible from these findings by successfully integrating them into your everyday life. And whenever possible, we want to encourage you to cook fresh with lots of recipes and background information on the individual herbs and spices - because as the ancient doctor and philosopher Hippocrates said: "Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food." And whenever you don't have the time for that, we want to use our nutritional supplements to help ensure that your body still gets everything it needs.
sustainability
When it comes to the manufacturing method of our drops and capsules, we have consciously decided to focus on purity, sustainability and transparency when it comes to the packaging of our products! It was therefore particularly important to us not to choose packaging that is made entirely of plastic.
THE IDEA
Our vision was a sustainable solution: the best for the body and at the same time the best for the environment! Plastic containers are extremely unsuitable for recycling due to the many additives that have to be used in production (especially titanium oxide). For many products, a plastic container contains about a month's supply and most people take not just one dietary supplement, but several different preparations.
We definitely didn't want the image of the resulting mountains of plastic waste for our QIDOSHA products! Our goal is to do good not only for our bodies, but also for the environment, and therefore we consistently use fully recyclable glass packaging and refill bags made of kraft paper.Glass is more expensive to produce and, due to its weight, to ship, but we still rely on you to support this approach!
Our refill bags also have a pleasant side effect: They fit easily into the letterbox and save you the trip to the parcel shop if you are not at home when our products are delivered!
PHARMACIST GLASS – JUST RIGHT FOR OUR QIDOSHA PRODUCTS
When you buy a QIDOSHA product, you have probably made a conscious decision to choose a product that has been produced without unnecessary additives. Apothecary glass therefore has a number of advantages:
- Recycling: Glass itself is very recyclable and can be reused many times… and again… and again…!
- Taste: Glass does not release any substances into the contents (microplastics issue!) and is therefore 100% tasteless.
- UV protection: The brown apothecary glass also protects the capsules inside ideally from harmful UV rays. Special, high-quality ingredients such as vitamin B12 and Q10 are particularly sensitive to light and require brown glass packaging.
