70 to 80% of all our perceptions are transmitted through the eyes. In Ayurveda, the doshas are divided into five subdoshas, ​​which are responsible for different functions in the body. Normally, each subdosha is responsible for several functions - in the Pitta dosha, however, there is a subdosha that is solely responsible for the eyes PLUS: other subdoshas also influence the eye functions. In Ayurveda, the eyes are therefore very important.

The subtle essence of "Ojas" and information about the current state of the three gunas Sattva, Rajas and Tamas radiates through our eyes. How can we support our eyes? Strengthening the Agni and the associated promotion of the elimination of Ama promotes the absorption and supply of nutrients and vital substances for the organism. Deacidification and an alkaline diet protect the eyes from harmful substances. Digital detox or consciously reducing visual stimuli prevents eye strain.

OPC 40 is recommended by various sources for permanent eye strain caused by hours of computer work. Among the Ayurvedic herbs and foods, the Amla berry is considered to regulate Pitta. According to Ayurvedic understanding, Triphala balances all three doshas. Dissolved in water, it is used by doctors for inflammation of the eye. Please only use it under supervision or by a doctor! From an Ayurvedic perspective, a good eye care product is ghee, which is slightly warmed and placed in the eye (one drop) for dry eyes.

DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision and is contained in high quantities in QIDOSHA Omega 3 fish oil capsules.

Riboflavin (vitamin B2) and vitamin A with its precursor beta-carotene contribute to the maintenance of normal vision and are contained in the combination preparation ANTI-OX.
