Every second in the human body 50 million new body cells produced Why? Because so many “old” ones need to be replaced. The conditions in the gastrointestinal tract are supposed to function in such a way that the basic substance Ahara Rasa a liquid "Rasa Dhatu“ arises. Dhatus are body tissues.
From the perspective of Ayurveda, the different body tissues develop within the framework of a tissue-specific metabolic process. One tissue emerges from the other! Rasa Dhatu is the first body tissue that refreshes and nourishes all cells and organs.
Rasa Dhatu contains all three doshas. Rasa-Dhatu is the "transport company of the body" because it transports doshas to their destination, but also flushes dissolved doshas and toxins out of the body. Therefore, Rasa-Dhatu is essential in the Panchakarma treatmentwhich aims to cleanse the body of toxins and regain Prakriti (basic constitution).
Rasa-Dhatu (blood plasma and lymph) then produces blood (Rakta Dhatu), then it becomes muscle (Mamsa-Dhatu). Then fat is created (Meda Dhatu), from which bones (Asthi Dhatu) and from this bone marrow (Majja-Dhatu). Then the circle closes, because from Maija-Dhatu arises the male and female reproductive tissue (Shukra/Artava).
The digestive fire "Agni" is a prerequisite for all vital functions—the functioning of metabolism—and all cell-renewing functions. Agni controls the breakdown of food into usable nutrients and waste products, breaks down food into its individual elements (as mentioned above), and transforms these nutrients in the process of conversion into tissue.
The characteristics of Agni vary from person to person. Therefore, each person has different eating habits, depending on their individual appetite, and may experience completely different problems, such as obesity, low energy, or even digestive diseases.
